The action has focused on the replacement of thirteen industrial displays, responsible for accurately showing the weight and the maximum and minimum levels of the materials managed in the thermal process. In the control room, these devices, connected to load cells, are an essential element for real-time operation and supervision, as they provide operators with reliable data on which to base quick and safe decisions.
As part of the solution, a special OMRON weighing card has been integrated as a spare part, with the aim of optimizing signal reading and improving communication between the industrial scales and the plant’s automated system. The choice of this technology responds to its recognized reliability and precision, ensuring that each measurement meets the quality, traceability and operational robustness requirements of the ceramic industry.
The project has also incorporated an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system in the control room, provided by the client, to protect critical systems – oven PLCs, touch screens and SCADA PC – against possible power micro-cuts. Thanks to this measure, the continuity of data acquisition and automated control is guaranteed, reinforcing the operational safety and digital resilience of the plant.
The execution has been approached in an integral and turnkey manner, covering from the installation of equipment and wiring to the realization of technical checks and functional tests, both unitary and global.
The Ingesom Sistemas de Digitalización team has been responsible for the complete start-up, as well as providing technical training to employees, making it easier for staff to operate and maintain the new systems with full autonomy. The travel and services associated with the start-up have been included within the project, demonstrating our commitment to close support and specialized customer support.
