What is production control?

A production control is a computer system that monitors the status of the different production processes to extract information on the plant status in real time.
The main objective is to assist in the optimization of processes and resources, contributing to the continuous improvement of operations.
In this way, a production control system monitors the entire production process and collects accurate data in real time. On the one hand, it serves to exploit all the information helping production managers to make decisions and, on the other hand, to exchange all the necessary information on yields and consumption with the ERP.
