INGESOM improves real-time parts counting

INGESOM improves the production control system of the porcelain line of a well-known ceramic company. The data capture equipment located in the enameling machine and furnaces has been replaced by three OMRON PLCs with Ethernet connection, which reduce mismatch errors in parts counting, simplify communications and increase their speed.
The new SCADA application developed by INGESOM collects the information of the parts produced on the line and uploads it to the customer’s ERP. The data centralized in a single application facilitates decision making, since it makes it possible to identify the number of wastes, to know the cost per square meter and to know the production efficiency of each model.
